Legend of Qalupalik / Print (Print)

The Sea Creature , Qalupalik Traditional Inuit believe that a bearded seal can contain the spirit of woman and is called Qalupalik - the sea creature. This often vindictive creature, will take small children who do not heed their elders' advise to stay off the dangerous sea ice. This is story of one small child who didn't heed that advice and while playing near the cracks in the ice had an encounter with the Qalupalik. It is a story about thinking fast.
