Museum Cerny. contemporary circumpolar art
ObjectMask: Shaman's Senses (Sculpture )
The sculpture is a double mask, one part human, one part animal. There is a human ear but also an animal ear, that of a wolf or fox. He is hearing with both ears.
The 2 large holes are allowing the light to pass through. The eye symbolises looking, not with this eye, but with his soul. The horn shaped like a muskox’s horn denotes strength and protection.
